Back to Bangkok

After a very long day on those buses, crossing the border we finally arrived back in Bangkok after exactly a month to the day since we were last here.

On arrival we befriended an aussie guy and his girlfriend and tagged along with them to find accommodation.  This was an awful mistake as it turns out.  Despite this guys ability to speak fluent Thai and his knowledge of Bangkok we spent 2 hours walking about looking for somewhere suitable.

I decided I was skipping the hovels that he was suggesting a chose a nice midrange place for the night which was well out of their budget so being the nice guy I am we stayed with them as they continued to try to find a hotel that rents rooms by the hour and sure enough they did.  The main reason we stuck with this couple was to help them with their luggage.  They had a massive amount of very heavy luggage which I was now dragging down the many Soi’s of Sukhumvit street in central Bangkok at 10pm on a Friday night. I’m not sure how they would have done it without us cause every time we tried to escape the guy would decide to get a taxi and then decided that 60 bhat was too much to go a few ks!

As we approached their hotel we were greeted by a man with beautiful legs, shiny red lip gloss, size A breasts (but increasing every day I’d imagine) and a killer hair do.  The foyer was littered with these guys playing pool and giggling like girls.  I dropped the bags wished our friends farewell and headed back to our choice of hotel on Sukhumvit Street.

We were greeted by a man in mans clothes and no makeup which is always a bonus. :)
